How to read this
The chart plots the IBJA benchmark in rupees per gram. Use the purity buttons to switch between 24K, 22K and 18K. The three move together, since they are the same metal at different fineness, so the shape of the line stays the same while the scale changes.
Two things this chart is not. It is not a live intraday price. IBJA publishes twice a day and we record those published figures, so each point is a session, not a tick. And it is not what you would pay: making charges, hallmarking and GST all sit on top of these numbers.
Our record is currently 7 published days long. We would rather show a short record we collected ourselves than a long one we cannot stand behind. See the methodology.

Common questions
- How far back does this history go?
- The record starts on the day this site began collecting IBJA rates and lengthens every trading day. We publish only rates we collected ourselves, rather than importing a back-series we cannot verify.
- Why are some dates missing?
- IBJA publishes only on trading days. There are no rates for Saturdays, Sundays or central government holidays, so those dates do not appear.
- Are these rates inclusive of GST?
- No. Every figure is the metal rate per gram, before making charges, hallmarking and GST.
